Elica has supported the activities of the Fondazione Ermanno Casoli, for over seven years now.  Named in memory of the company’s founder and established in 2007, the Fondazione Ermanno Casoli operates in the borderland between contemporary art and the world of business, its mission to improve the working environment through the intervention of artists in the business arena. The most significant fruit of this particular kind of cultural contamination is the E-STRAORDINARIO program: in close collaboration with companies in the business training sector, the Fondazione provides workshops that bring together artists and employees, their interaction forming a useful metaphor to stimulate innovation.

A new E-STRAORDINARIO event is planned for Thursday, September 25th: for the third consecutive year, the FEC will take part in the Master’s in Economics and Management of Art and Cultural Heritage organised by the Il Sole 24 Ore Business School in Milan. Artist Francesco Barocco will guide students in a workshop focusing on design and the ancient technique of chequer-work: a highly valuable laboratory, dedicated to new generations but with an eye turned towards the ingenuity and innovative capacity of the great artistic tradition of the past.
