Küchenmeile 2024: Elica opens permanent showroom at IDF34 article detail

In Lhöne (Germany), the Italian company presents its new cooking collection to the German market in a brand-new space designed to offer an extraordinary experience.

Elica, a world leader in the kitchen hood market for over 50 years, is an innovative Italian company at the forefront of kitchen appliance manufacturing. Today, in conjunction with Küchenmeile 2024, Elica inaugurates its new showroom in the industrial district of Lhöne: a permanent exhibition space within IDF34, which will allow Elica to strengthen its foothold in the German market and become a key player in the Benelux and Northern Europe. Designed by Milan-based studio Calvi Brambilla & Partners, the showroom reflects Elica’s rebranding journey, centred around its new positioning: from the logo, rooted in the past with an eye toward the future, to the payoff ‘Extraordinary Cooking’, which embodies Elica’s long-standing commitment to challenging the ordinary.

"This showroom marks a significant milestone in our expansion strategy. It’s more than just an investment in our future; it’s a tangible sign of our dedication to increasing Elica’s presence in a key market such as Germany.  We want to be even closer to our customers so that we can better understand their needs, while solidifying our role as a trusted partner in this major economy," said Luca Barboni, Managing Director of Elica's Cooking Business Unit.

At Küchenmeile, Elica will present its new collection of cooking products: induction hobs, ovens, wine coolers, and, most notably, Lhov. This extraordinary all-in-one cooking solution integrates an oven, hob, and extraction system into one appliance. Designed by Fabrizio Crisà, Lhov was awarded the prestigious Compasso D'Oro in June. It offers a combination of advanced automatic features inspired by professional kitchens; its powerful extraction system effectively captures fumes and odours from both the hob and the oven.

"Lhov and our new Cooking range well represent Elica’s knack for anticipating market trends and turning them into groundbreaking solutions able to reshape the cooking experience. This innovative spirit materializes in our new showroom, where our cutting-edge technologies come to life, allowing professionals, cooking enthusiasts, and others to experience first-hand the quality, efficiency, and design of our products," added Samanta Simonetti, General Manager of Elica Germany.

The new range of Elica ovens offers models to suit every space and need. Particularly noteworthy is Virtus Multi Pyro TFT, which combines exceptional performance, A+ energy class and a sleek, minimalist design. This pyrolytic (self-cleaning) oven ensures perfect cooking results even at the maximum temperature: an impressive 320°C. The Virtus Combi Steam MW TFT oven also stands out with its compact size (60x45 cm), striking total black design, highly intuitive display and cooking modes that can be combined as follows: Traditional/Steam, Traditional/Microwave, or Steam/Microwave.

Elica's collection of high-performance cooking appliances also includes a range of induction hobs with integrated extraction systems. The NikolaTesla line is the most comprehensive on the market in terms of features, functions, aesthetics, and flexible installation options. The NikolaTesla Unplugged and NikolaTesla Switch Lux models are equipped with brushless motors that reduce noise and energy consumption, even at maximum power. These motors use up to 70% less energy than conventional ones. The filtration system is a major innovation: the new all-in-one EVO filter traps Class A grease, removes odours (up to 80% compared to the market average of 60%), and captures vapours. Additionally, these filters are regenerable for up to 5 years, preventing unnecessary waste.

As for kitchen hoods, Elica has some exciting new products to offer. The Haiku Dry kitchen hood stands out with its anti-condensation technology, which finally eliminates the bothersome dripping often associated with induction hobs. The Neat kitchen hood, equipped with a brushless motor, significantly reduces noise and energy consumption by up to 70%.

This is just a glimpse of what awaits visitors at Elica’s new showroom—a genuine hub of innovation, design, and technology that fosters open interaction with the world. A number of events and networking opportunities for trade professionals and visitors alike are in the pipeline for the coming months.

Stay tuned.
